Parboiled Malted Rice "Sunoryza" is a rice product made from Thai rice cultivated in organic farms. Malted rice is a germinated rice. In the seed, dietary substances are accumulated in the process of chemical reaction to help survive its new grass sprout. These dietary substances are easily diffused and digested. They contain more vitamin concentration than in ordinary rice and they are easily absorbed and immediately metabolized. Moreover, approximately 700% of pro-vitamin transformed into vitamin, can yield antioxidant substances to reduce the risk of cancer and cell degeneration, as well as plenty of malt enzymes to enhance body immunity. At best, the seed fiber can get rid of poisonous substances in the large intestine.
The overall malting process helps improve colors, aroma, and flavors of rice for healthy consumption. In addition, the parboiling process can increase shelf life and appearance of rice products. As a consequence of the tow hydrothermal processes, parboiled malted rice yields after cooking a honey yellow-brown color, tender-texture grains, appreciated aroma and a unique flavor.
The product is awarded best rice by the National Innovation Agency and carries a patent No. 928 as an invention by the Department of Intellectual Property in Thailand.
